If you want to use the Agent Kit as a read-only reference without connecting MCP, you can install skills manually. This is useful if you're not ready to authorize the Partners MCP yet, or if you're working in an environment where MCP isn't supported.Manually installed skills don't auto-update. You'll need to pull updates yourself when the repository changes.

How your client picks up installed skills depends on the client:GitHub Copilot discovers the .agents/skills/ directory natively
Claude Code and Codex resolve skills via their respective plugin manifests
What Skills Can and Can't Do#
Skills teach your agent how Salla apps work. They cover OAuth flows, webhook contracts, App Functions, billing, publication requirements, and more.What they can't do is take action on the Partners Portal. For that, you need the Partners MCP connected. See Connect MCP when you're ready.
